Reins 3.25-inch Fat Rockvibe Shad

Reins 3.25-inch Fat Rockvibe Shad

325FRVS003

On Oct. 21, 2012, we published a gear guide featuring Reins Fishing Tackle's four-inch Fat Rockvibe Shad, which is a popular soft-plastic finesse-size swimbait in Japan and at a variety of waterways in Canada and the United States.

This spring Reins introduced a 3.25-inch Fat Rockvibe Shad for finesse anglers around the world to employ.

It is a multi-segmented bait. Its tail is endowed with a boot. The tip of its nose or head is round.  Between its tail and nose, there are three bulbous sections. Between the boot tail and the third bulbous section, there is a thinner section that is adorned with eight ribs.

According to the staff at Reins, the configuration of its torso and tail creates a significant amount of movement and unique gyrations. At times, a bubble trail  is generated. And from an anthropomorphic perspective,  some anglers contend that the bubble trails catch the eyes of largemouth bass, smallmouth bass, and spotted bass.  A few anglers even maintain that a trail of bubbles will even provoke a black bass to engulf a soft-plastic bait.

Most Midwest finesse anglers will affix it to either a 1/16- or a 3/32-ounce mushroom-style jig with an exposed hook.

It is available in three one-tone colors: Blue Gill, Ghost Pro Blue, and Moebi (or Light Green Pumpkin with Green Flakes).  It is manufactured in five two-tone colors: Baby Gill, Dos Vert (or Herring), Gizzard Shad, Mueller's Madness, and Natural Pro Blue. Mueller's Madness was created by Paul Mueller, who is a professional black-bass angler from Naugatuck, Connecticut, and this hue abstractly replicates the colors of a bluegill, or a yellow perch, or a goby.

They are impregnated with salt and a shrimp scent.

Anglers can purchase a package of six for $5.49 at this link: http://store.optimumbaits.com/c/reins_3-25-fat-rockvibe-shad.
