A LOVED FAMILY TRADITION

A LOVED FAMILY TRADITION
ROBB'S CARP 4-27-13

ROBB BABER

FARMERSBURG INDIANA

EVERY YEAR STARTING IN EARLY SPRING ME AND MY FOUR SONS HAVE ENJOYED CATCHING NUMEROUS BIG CARP AS OFTEN AS ABLE TO. WE ENJOY CAMPING ON THE LAKE AND CATCHING THESE OVERLOOKED FISH. ONCE WE START PULLING THESE LARGE FISH IN, THE WHOLE CAMPGROUND PAYS ATTENTION. MANY COME TO SEE AND COMMENT "THEY HAD NO IDEA THERE WAS FISH THAT BIG IN THE LAKE!".

WE ALWAYS BRING EXTRA BAIT FOR WIDE EYED KIDS DIEING FOR A CHANCE AT CATCHING ONE. WE USE CORN, STRAWBERRY KOOL AID DOUGH BALLS, NITGHT CRAWLERS, WHEATIES & HOTDOGS.

THIS CARP WAS CAUGHT ON STRAWBERRY KOOL AID DOUGH BALL ON A #4 HOOK ON A SLIP RIG FISHED ON BOTTOM. THE BIGGEST OF THE YEAR SO FAR.

IT HAS BECOME A FAMILY TRADITION WE ALL ENJOY AND I HOPE MY SONS ARE ABLE TO CONTINUE WITH THEIR KIDS AFTER I AM GONE.

TO US CARP ARE NOT A TRASH FISH BUT ARE A LOVED FAMILY TRADITION.
