Zoom Bait Company's Z-3 Swamp Crawler is a hand-poured, triple laminated, straight-tailed soft-plastic worm that has been catching the attention of scores of finesse anglers inthe Midwest and elsewhere across the nation.
It is Zoom's first venture into the time-consuming world of the hand-poured soft-plastic worm, and the folks at Zoom say that their Z-3 Swamp Crawler possesses all of the attributes of the state-of-the-art hand-poured worms, but anglers do not have to pay an exorbitant price for a package of them.
The sides and back of its torso of this 5 5/8-inch worm is encompassed with a series of delicate ribs. These ribs cause the Z-3 Swamp Crawler to exhibit a subtle but alluring action. Its belly is flat, which slows the speed that it falls when it plummets toward the bottom. The slow-fall rate and its subtle action will be beneficial for black bass anglers when they are plying waterways that are subject to heavy predation from other anglers or their quarries are either tentative or unresponsive.
Moreover, the Z-3 is adorned with a conspicuous clitellum that is not embellished with ribs. Its straight and pointed tail is rib-free, too, as is its head.

The triple-laminated coloring scheme, which Zoom describes as labor intensive, provides anglers with unique hues that cannot be found in machine-produced soft-plastic worms. The Z-3 is created in the following colors: Bold Bluegill, Desert Craw, M.M. III, Morning Dawn, Oxblood Light Red, Pro Blue Neon, Sexy Shad, Z-3 Edge, and Z-3 Magic.
A package of 10 can be purchase for $4.29.
