Popular Fasttach Trick

by Jeff Simpson   |  December 5th, 2012 0

The subject of more letters and email request the past three ice seasons since In-Fisherman Field Editor Gord Pyzer offered it as a neat trick, remains using a String ease Fasttach Clip to add distance (more pivot) between hook and lure body so fish can more easily swing the baited hook into their mouth when they try eat it. The Clip makes it so easy to remove the hook that Pyzer also suggests another trick—pinching off a minnow head and sliding it head up over a treble hook with the shank of the treble coming out the minnow’s mouth. Easily and quickly placed back on clip, the minnow head is almost impossible for fish to steal. The Fastach Clip—#0 and #1 are most popular for ice situations—are only available from Rollie and Helen’s Musky Shop.
