Inside Angles -- In-Fisherman TV 2004
TV stills.by Doug Stange,
Editor In Chief

The In-Fisherman Television Specials remain the most watched show in the outdoor industry, a product, many suggest, of the quality of the information delivered by what probably is the most experienced magazine staff in the history of our industry. No other staff has been more places in North America, set and defined more trends during the past decades, and has more overall experience in every aspect of the outdoors industry, than the In-Fisherman staff.

As you know, the Specials are famous for being quick moving and action packed--each show featuring not just one but a minimum of three fish species in three settings from across North America. The fishing takes place around the country on the same types of waters that you fish. It's more fish and more fishing action, plus the best possible information. Cutting-edge tactics and trends. The final programming is, of course, also a visual pleasure, the product of topnotch field photographers and studio film editors.

TV stills. The Specials play exclusively this season on The Outdoor Channel. Another specific version of the Specials will play on a variety of local broadcast stations around North America. We'll announce air dates in our January magazine. Click here to view times and broadcast stations.

The big news this year is our production of a second television show, In-Fisherman Critical Concepts, which will play on most Fox Sports Network channels and on new-universe cable channels such as RFD-TV. While the Specials feature our most recent field footage, Critical Concepts rides the edge of discovery with hosts Managing Editor Steve Hoffman and me moderating--from a studio setting--the most pertinent field footage from the present and the past, addressing the most compelling fishing concepts of our times. The fish and the in-the-field action remain paramount, but the focus is entirely on a discovery process that captures the essence of a critical aspect of fishing. It's a totally new way to discover educational outdoor entertainment.

We can't wait to show you where we've been and what we've been up to since you saw us in action last year. This year more of you than ever before will be able to tune in on all the action.
