On a local lake this fall I found a school of smallmouth bass on a deep water hump. The shallowest part is 26′, slopping down into 80′ of water. We were lindy rigging with frogs and it didn’t take long to start catching fish. The smallies were everywhere. We caught well over two dozen smallies in the couple hours we were out plus this 21″ monster. If you have never caught smallies out of real deep water than your missing out!
