My uncle and I were out trolling the bay of green bay for some browns and salmon. Its the first time i ever went trolling usualy i just fished streams for brook trout. We were trolling around green island we had caught a freshwater drum on the north west side. we got around to the south side trolling 2 down riggers and 2 dipsy divers i was pulling the left down rigger up to check for sea fleas on the line. and it was loaded. as im reeling the ball up i was watching the right down rigger. all of a sudeen the pole goes slack and with in a second is bent right back over screaming like a banshee! i run over grab it and this fish is still running witht he lure and it has already taken over a hundred ft of line. by the time it stopped its first run it took 282 ft of line on top of the 180 that was already out! We were getting knocked around by waves pretty good and ibattled the fish for 15 minutes before it finaly showed its selve and even then still had fight and was still 100 feet behind boat. we were it was a good fish got it in the net and there she was! 32 1/4 inches 16.3 pounds.
