I was fishing at Lake Flavia in western New York around 7:30 in the morning and I had just caught a decent two pound largemouth and on the very next cast a massive head wake started tailing my lure and in an instant my line was taut and I was bewildered. I knew I had a pike on but I wasn’t sure how large it was until I realized it was until I got it closer to shore and the fish launched itself out of the water. I quickly brought into shallow water and dragged it to shore in a state of jubilation
