Minn Kota Trim Tabs

The combination of a bigger, heavier, more powerful engine with poor weight distribution, waves, strong winds or high prop torque can cause your boat to crouch back or lean to one side, dramatically decreasing performance. Fortunately, Minn Kota Trim Tabs solve the problem.

A push of a button allows you to raise or lower the trim tabs to match conditions, creating better boat control and enhancing the boat's performance. The tabs operate like flaps on an airplane wing, generating more lift to get you on plane faster, eliminating bow rise during takeoff, improving visibility and making your boating safer. Once on plane, you can eliminate porpoising (the bow bouncing up and down, even on calm water) by making finer tab adjustments.

All boats differ in the transom area, and he right tab size for yours is determined by a number of factors, including boat length and weight: the larger the tab size, the greater the lift. Select the largest tab size your transom will accommodate.

Minn Kota's Trim Tabs are made of a high-performance composite material that never bends, rusts, or corrodes. Available in six tab sizes, with chord lengths of 9 and 12 inches and span lengths of 9, 12, and 18 inches.
