Minn Kota's first introduction of the Universal Sonar provided anglers with an integrated and protected transducer and cables in their trolling motors. The company now offers the Universal Sonar 2, with enhanced features designed to provide more tools to anglers.

Universal Sonar 2 adds water-temperature sensing and dual-beam sonar compatibility. The dual-beam sonar transducer is integrated into the lower unit of the trolling motor, and cables are routed inside the composite shaft for a clean appearance and protection from the elements. Specially shielded connectors are waterproof and reduce sonar interference.

Dual-beam capability (with all Humminbird DualBeam PLUS and select Lowrance and Garmin units) provides wider coverage and greater bottom detail than single beam units. Temperature sensing is compatible with all major sonar brands.
