Lund's IPS Hull Is Better Than Ever
Lund's new IPS 2 (Integrated Power Strake) offers one of the smoothest, softest, and driest riding boats around. It also handles higher horsepower motors.
The combination of three engineering components -- the power strake, the reverse chine, and the footprint -- enhance performance, and make the IPS 2 a superior haul. Additional strakes have been added to the hull to eliminate spray and provide a drier ride. The power strake also is wider and longer, which deliver a smoother water flow to the propeller.
The reverse chine bites into the water for exceptional stability, especially while turning, creating exceptional steering response. It also keeps the boat on an even plane and plays a major role in driving down spray. The IPS 2 footprint -- its width at the waterline -- is one of the widest in the industry, which pushes the boat on plane fast, even at slow speeds.

Ipso Facto
If you're of the mindset that all aluminum boats pound your back and give you a face full of water, it's time to get the facts: Lund's new IPS 2 hull is the solution to combining a soft dry ride with the durability of aluminum construction.
What makes the IPS 2 so special is the addition of several strakes that extend all the way up to the bow, deflecting water out to the sides and virtually eliminating any spray. Plus, the IPS (Integrated Power Strake) technology and reverse chine get the deeper V hull up on plane and riding on a small pad at the transom, so there's none of the pounding in waves typically associated with old-style aluminum technology. Improved handling in big waves and the ability to stay on plane even at low speeds round out the performance package.
"With the new IPS 2, spray is down to nothing and the ride is smoother and faster than I've ever experienced," says Mr. Walleye, Gary Roach. "You have to drive a new Lund to see what a difference great engineering makes."
Ipso facto -- by the fact itself -- IPS 2 technology proves that it's worth the ride.

Carpet Or No Carpet -- That's The Question
The Lund Boat Company continues to make innovative strides, looking for ways to build boats that meet customer needs while maintaining their reputation for quality. Whether you're a recreational boater, casual angler, expert angler, or even a duck hunter, Lund has a boat designed specifically for your needs.
For instance, a carpeted boat is nice for some fishing situations and for recreational use. But carpet also gets dirty, which requires constant cleaning to maintain your investment.
A vinyl floor is easier to clean, and is a better choice for many anglers. Lund now offers a snap-in carpet system that allows you to enjoy the low-maintenance of a vinyl floor and the luxury of carpet. The carpet is easy to snap in and out and is easy to clean.
