2012 and 2013

It is Christmas Eve, and as 2012 draws to a close, I heartily thank scores and scores  of readers and fellow Midwest finesse anglers who have read and contributed many insights and words on how, when and where to catch fish across the nation's Heartland. And, of course, the Midwest finesse  tactics that allure the Heartland's many denizens will allure the various denizens that inhabit the waterways in every corner and crevice of the nation -- in fact, they will allure fish at every nook and cranny around world.

On January 1, we will post a profile of Dion Hibdon of Versailles,  Missouri.  A reader or two might recall that the first piece that I wrote for  In-Fisherman back in the early 1980s featured Dion Hibdons' grandfather, the late Guido Clinton Hibdon, Sr. That story also featured the late  Fred Pottohoff of Nisswa, Minnesota and the late Jason Lucas of Sports Afield and "Lucas on Bass Fishing" fame. Since that initial story, we have written several features about the Hibdons' piscatorial proclivities, such as the Dec. 1 blog entitled "The fishing and family life of Guido Hibdon."  

After the first weeks of 2013 unflold, we will post a long blog about the walleye ways the Chase and Gary Parsons.  It will be the third essay we have post about the Parsons since since In-Fisherman blog page began in August 0f 2011.

Moreover, we will continue to post the monthly Midwest finesse logs, and some of these logs contain more than 10,000 words. These detailed logs are aimed at helping recreational anglers catch from nine to 25 black bass an hour, and to accomplish that task with a sense of frugality.

Interspersed between the longer essays, there will  be more  Finesse News Networks' Gear Guide briefs and similar briefs that will help catfish, crappie, largemouth bass, smallmouth bass, spotted bass walleye, white bass and wiper anglers allure their quarries.
