Fishing Gear: Bubba Large Shears

Bubba Large Shears

Description and Application: Bubba’s Large Shears take cutting line, fish bones—or whatever you might need snipped when in the boat—to new levels. The shears are engineered with micro-serrated blades to easily cut monofilament, fluorocarbon or braided line. The Large Shears offer a carabineer clip for easy access and include a sheath to clip to your belt. They also come standard with the company’s iconic non-slip grip, a bottle opener and a lanyard clip. No matter your next adventure, Bubba’s Large Shears will be ready to go.

Staff Perspective: I’ve been through a lot of cheap, junky scissors, and I’m to the point in my life that I’m done buying cheap stuff. These shears take innovation and application to new heights making life easier. In fact, I’d suggest tying some sort of floaty to these things so you don’t accidently drop them in the drink. They stay on my belt, and especially within arm’s reach when rigging rods. I especially like the serrated blades and the bottle opener, plus many of the other features. This is a tool you’ll be glad you have.
