StrikeMaster Lithium 40v Ice Auger
Description and Application: There are three components to the new StrikeMaster ice augers: the powerhead/motor, battery and Lite-Flite Lazer drill unit. The motor features an electric DC brushless motor, a planetary gear system, 15.9:1 gear ratio, power button with deadman safety switch, built-in LED lights and forward and reverse. The battery is a 40v 5-amp hour lithium ION battery, three LED status lights, 2-amp charging station that recharges the battery in 2 hours. Battery and charger included.
The bit features twin serrated stainless steel Lazer blades, reinforced “T” connection to carriage with heavy-duty steel hex shaft. Comes standard with a limited 2-year manufacturer’s warranty on motor, battery and charger. After extensive testing, on 16 inches of ice, the auger will drill 100 holes with the 8-inch auger on a single charge, and 70 holes with a 10-inch auger on a single charge.

Staff Perspective: The days of gas-powered augers are a thing of the past, and if you doubt the power of lithium batteries in the ice-auger platform, all you have to do is try it.
