ABT hires its first communications director

Decatur, Ala. – The Alabama Bass Trail has announced the addition of Angela Cross as Media/Communications Director, a newly created role for the largest team trail tournament fishing organization in the Southeast. She took over the position this week.

Cross is responsible for the development and execution of the social media accounts, livestream, paid broadcasting and communication plans for the ABT Tournament Series and ABT 100 Series.

Cross joins the ABT from Power-Pole, where she spent four years developing brand strategic plans for marketing campaigns across various media channels and administering all streams of human resources for approximately 200 employees. Prior to joining Power-Pole, she was the HR manager and later promoted to vice president of operations for Coastal Marina Management.

“The ABT is very excited to be adding an individual with the skill and experience needed to continue to grow the trail and tournament series," said ABT Director Kay Donaldson. "Angela brings a unique perspective shaped by her many years in the fishing industry, and along with her professional experience, her passion for the outdoors will help increase the Trail’s impact throughout the southeastern United States and beyond.”
