Abu Garcia Revo SX

The Abu Garcia Revo SX low-profile baitcast reel is precision engineered to deliver power and performance. The Infinite-break system utilizes both a magnetic and centrifugal break to allow control across a wide range of baits and sizes. The D2 Gear Design--paired with a brass main gear delivers durability, even under heavy pressure. The reel also has a keyed Power Stack Carbon Matrix Drag System--which provides 24 pounds of stopping power!

According to In-Fisherman TV host Doug Stange, "Low-profile reels are lighter and more compact—they simply fit the hand more naturally. The Revo SX weighs just 7.7 ounces. It holds 140 yards of 30-pound braid, so plenty of line capacity. And it's as smooth as can be with 9 stainless-steel ball bearings, plus a roller bearing. Finally, with 24 pounds of drag stop, this reel is in the upper end of the power spectrum for any low-profile reel on the market."

The SX is available in two different gear ratios. With a full spool of line, an SX with a retrieve ratio of 7.3:1 retrieves 30 inches of line per turn of the reel handle. Meanwhile, a reel with a retrieve ratio of 6:6.1 takes in 27 inches of line per turn of the handle. Retail: $159.95
