Abu Garcia has announced the launch of their new Max Elite Spinning Reel, boasting features typically found in higher-priced reels according to a press release.
The Max Elite incorporates technology from Abu Garcia’s Zenon spinning reels, including the V-spool and V-rotor design, and the AMG CNC machined gear system. This results in a smooth gear feel, low-inertia rotor, exceptional reeling experience, and durability.
Additional features include a lightweight carbon handle, C6 carbon-infused body for weight reduction, and the advanced Rocket Line Management System and Rocket Spool Lip for superior line control.
“The redesign of the Max Elite spinning reel was focused on integrating high-end technologies to create a product that meets the needs of avid anglers,” said Director of Brand and Product at Abu Garcia, Andrew Wheeler. “By incorporating features like the V-spool and V-rotor design, we’ve ensured that the Max Elite offers unmatched smoothness and durability, making it an incredibly high-performing reel for its price.”

The Max Elite Spinning Reel comes in four reel sizes (2000, 2500, 3000, 4000) and has a MSRP of $99.99. It will be available in September.
