The Wilds is a wildlife conservation area located on a vast reclaimed strip mine, with numerous ponds managed carefully for fishing. I've become addicted to the great bass fishing there. On a recent summer afternoon, this mama bass took a deep running crankbait, and I managed her into the boat. It's my personal record largemouth, but with such great fishing at The Wilds, who knows when a bigger one will take a short boat ride. My buddy and I have fished The Wilds several times, and have caught three largemouth bass in the past year that were over 20 inches in length. On my most recent trip, the guide and I decided to see how many bass we could catch together. We ended up with 65 in a four-hour trip, and caught five Fish Ohio citation bluegills (9 inches and over) by accident. There's no place like it I've found. I highly recommend The WIlds for fishing. It's spectacular.
