Description and Application:Berkley FluoroShield offers monofilament anglers another trusted line choice by combining the manageability of monofilament that many of them rely on with the abrasion resistance of fluorocarbon. Its refractive index is like that of fluorocarbon making it less visible to fish. Similar to monofilament, FluoroShield has a near neutral buoyancy, making it ideal for fishing spinnerbaits, bladed jigs, shallow crankbaits, soft swimbaits, swimming jigs, and buzzbaits. Available in pound tests from four to 30, Berkley FluoroShield comes in both 300-yard filler spools and 3,000-yard bulk spools.

Staff Perspective: Fluoro with mono-like attributes, such as less memory and curl? Sign me up for that! There are plenty of circumstances when I prefer a fluorocarbon to braid, or mono to fluoro, this new line from Berkley helps me cover more situations, which ultimately means less time rigging rods.—TA
