For a long time, the standard was three very heavy lead-acid 12-volt batteries rigged in series for 36 volts of power, now you can condense all of that to a single battery at less than half the weight. You could even go so far as to add a second one to double your amp hours for extended reliability. Just be aware, your regular on-board 12-volt charger won’t charge these things, you’ll need a specific charger capable of charging a 36-volt battery. Making this change will be worth it.
