Description and Application: This crankbait features a medium-size body with a wider wobble and an oversized bill to deflect off cover. The Series 4 is great for fish staged at medium depths in the 5- to 8-foot range, works great for heavy cover applications and in dirty water. It comes standard with 3D eyes, weighs 9/16 of an ounce and comes in 11 eye-catching, chip-resistant colors.
Staff Perspective: This crankbait has an attractive built-in hunting action that helps it swim around dense cover, but also is attractive to hungry fish from great distances. This lure also features free-floating weights to increase the attention-grabbing attributes—I find this to be a great springtime reservoir option when winter pools fill back up after spring rains drag soil and nutrients into the water. I’m also thinking about running this through standing timber and around blowdowns and brushpiles during the summer months—it just looks like a timber deflecting crank. And I like that.
