00:00:15.480 --> 00:00:18.090: and different topics, we are kind of experimenting with, I guess some off the wall ideas.
00:00:20.730 --> 00:00:23.220: We have an after hours edition.
00:00:23.220 --> 00:00:26.670: We have a hard copy edition after hours. I guess if you're creative enough, you can understand it's generally me and some buddies ranting about industry situations.
00:00:32.100 --> 00:00:34.890: And we have a hard copy where: we talk about the magazine, we talk about television show, kind of give you a preview of what's coming from In-Fisherman.
00:00:39.870 --> 00:00:42.300: And then we, we also have this one, this is called the Front Porch Edition
00:00:44.100 --> 00:00:47.250: of in Fisherman Storyline, where we connect with, with friends and industry people.
00:00:49.110 --> 00:01:05.130: And we want to tell stories about, I guess, what created the ultimate vision of where they're at, the, the be the beginning, the origin story, if you will, of recognizable brands, recognizable personalities, the humble beginnings, if you will.
00:01:05.130 --> 00:01:14.850: And there's gonna be a lot more of that to come. We also have a, an on the road bucket, I guess, where we're gonna take a, a portable podcast kit with us,
00:01:14.850 --> 00:01:23.730: And we're gonna visit with outfitters. We're gonna visit with guides on the front porch or on the, the back patio of their, their outfit or their resort and kind of get their story.
00:01:23.730 --> 00:01:28.080: So, so many cool things. We haven't done one of those yet, but that is going to be coming fairly quickly.
00:01:28.080 --> 00:01:43.740: And then starting in 2025, our 25th anniversary at In Fisherman, I'm sorry, the 50th anniversary at In Fisherman. We're going to, we're gonna tell the story of In Fisherman from its very humble beginnings with all of the players that you're gonna recognize.
00:01:43.740 --> 00:01:48.660: I just wanna promote that you won't see any of those until the year turns over, but we're working on that right now.
00:01:48.660 --> 00:01:57.360: So today, this is the Front Porch Edition. I'm excited about this. We are going to get to know a guy that has a, a, a deep passion for the outdoors.
00:01:57.360 --> 00:02:01.230: I imagine that he has a lot of overlap during the season.
00:02:01.230 --> 00:02:06.750: Not sure if he should go fishing or hunting or what he should go hunting
for or what he should chase after when he is on the water.
00:02:06.750 --> 00:02:13.170: But Aaron Ambur is the president of Michigan based Nexus Outdoors.
00:02:13.170 --> 00:02:18.780: Now, this includes some brands you're probably pretty familiar with. Nexus might not be a familiar name, but it will be by the end of the show.
00:02:18.780 --> 00:02:28.800: But brands like Scent Lock and Blocker Outdoors, hardcore Waterfowl, whitewater, American Range Systems, and then two O Gear, we're gonna learn a little bit more about that.
00:02:28.800 --> 00:02:30.690: Aaron, thanks for taking the time, being with us today. Hey, Thomas, happy Friday and look for the conversation.
00:02:36.450 --> 00:02:43.020: Appreciate the opportunity to be on your show today and tell some lies, tell some secrets, and see where we go on the journey today.
00:02:45.060 --> 00:02:52.140: There are a lot of stories we could tell, and I like your, your office seems to have some nice creature comforts in it, sort of like ours here.
00:02:52.140 --> 00:02:54.840: And, and you know, that tells me a lot about what motivates you.
00:02:54.840 --> 00:03:02.380: I, I like to have, there's pictures on my office while I'm actually in our studio here, but I that it just kind of remind me why I do what I do.
00:03:02.380 --> 00:03:13.060: And I think that anybody that's worked in the industry for an extended period of time would say that, you know, there are people that consider it A-A-J-O-B, but it's a passion first.
00:03:13.060 --> 00:03:19.840: And I think if you're able to connect the two, you're pretty blessed individual because you do have to put up with some corporate stuff.
00:03:19.840 --> 00:03:24.760: You have to put up with stuff that maybe every job has. I don't think anybody would argue that.
00:03:24.760 --> 00:03:29.870: But if you're able to interweave your passion into that, it's barely a job at all. Would you agree with that?
00:03:30.910 --> 00:03:43.720: Yeah, Thomas. I think the only difference is, I don't know what your buddies think that that's all they think I do is hunt and fish and they forget that we have a business to run and we have to make some money and drive some sales.
00:03:43.720 --> 00:03:47.110: At the end of the day. I don't, I don't know what your crowd thinks of you.
