Truncated transcript:

00:00:00.870 --> 00:00:08.100: You are listening to In Fisherman Storyline, North America's top voice in multi-species freshwater angling.

00:00:09.390 --> 00:00:20.640: Here is your host, Thomas Allen. Hey, welcome to another edition

of In Fisherman Storyline. This is the first version of After Hours, and I'm joined with some friends here.

00:00:20.640 --> 00:00:26.910: And I think we're gonna, we're gonna dig into some nitty gritty fishing stuff, talk opinions. We're gonna agree, we're gonna disagree.

00:00:26.910 --> 00:00:38.910: We're not here to sling mud, but we are here to speak some truth. And I, I think that when we get down to what's going on in the fishing industry, you may agree with us, you may disagree with us.

00:00:38.910 --> 00:00:46.620: And if there, if you're watching this on YouTube, let us know what you think on the comments below. Did you already break it?

00:00:46.620 --> 00:00:55.270: No, I didn't break it. It keeps, Now you shut it off. So go ahead. And, which is, which is okay. We can't have anything nice around here.

00:00:55.270 --> 00:01:00.960: This is how it's gonna go. I'm all right with that. We're, we're not cutting that out. We're gonna Don't cut it out. We're gonna, we're gonna move on.

00:01:00.960 --> 00:01:12.640: So the, the, the, the display will shut off. Got it. A classy production is not what we're going for. No. And then when it turns back on, I will see that and that will tell me that it shut off and you just, I won't touch it again.

00:01:12.640 --> 00:01:23.545: Okay. So that, that raspy voice you hear is, is Brandon Cek. Brandon is a Lifetime Brainerd resident. Right. Born and raised. I am Okay. Business owner here in town.

00:01:23.545 --> 00:01:30.480: I, I, I think a lot of him we're still deciding on whether or not we're gonna be friends, but he does own the local bass waters here.

00:01:30.480 --> 00:01:39.900: When he shows up, everybody's trying to get their money back because they know right where it's going. But I kind of enjoy that and I'm gonna tailpipe as much as I can.

00:01:39.900 --> 00:01:48.120: Sure. Figure out where you're at. Yeah.  And, and next to him on the other side is Evan Blakely. Evan, are you, you aren't born and raised here, but you've been here a long time, right?

00:01:48.120 --> 00:02:00.240: I've been here since 2012. Okay. So what were you, 11? I was 18. He, he's the young pup of the group. So now what, what's cool, and, and you don't, you don't really know these guys.

00:02:00.240 --> 00:02:08.850: And, and that's what's cool about it. But here in the hometown, these two dudes win 90% of the bass tournaments. And they're, they're very accomplished. But they don't quit with bass.

00:02:08.850 --> 00:02:17.700: They, they love to be in the woods in the fall. They, they pursue other species. Evan has, has Jeremy is next, but I popped Evan's Musky Cherry this year.

00:02:18.870 --> 00:02:23.640: Oh, that wasn't your first one. I keep saying that. I've caught, I've caught quite a few, you know, those darn things.

00:02:23.640 --> 00:02:35.310: You can't really keep 'em off sometimes when you're bass fishing, but, you know, Jeremy's scared of their teeth. But Jeremy, Jeremy King is a longtime friend of mine. We, we kind of started fishing tournaments together.

00:02:36.210 --> 00:02:45.960: We're, we're not. How old is your son? He's 17 now. Yeah. Yep. So, all right. We're working on a 17-year marriage. You and I. 'cause it was right around that time.

00:02:45.960 --> 00:02:56.460: It's been special. It has been. Well, I thought he was a cool guy. Yeah. So, so Jeremy is also just like you guys, when he shows up to tournaments, everybody gets pissed and says it's, it's King's day.

00:02:56.460 --> 00:03:06.100: And you, you guys, every of you have kicked my butt on a bass water. It's not that hard. So I see what I see.

00:03:06.100 --> 00:03:13.660: You kind of like when you go from town to town and you just kind of pick the cream of the crop to show you the ways.
