I usually only fish this lake during the full moon because we have got about ten walleyes over 28inches from last year to this winter. But this was the first one we had over 30. It was one of the luckiest fish ive had the opportunity of taking. It was my buddy Alex and I fishing and we had this monster mark on the vexilar. It would come in and leave like ever 2 minutes and then just sit on the bottom. We throw everything at this fish from a live shinner to a lite sucker, but finally this fish was into the orange buckshot. I hit the bottom a couple of times and lifted up and the weight was there. I hit it hard and held on for the ride. after like 5 minutes finally had the fish tired enough to get her throw the hole and on to the ice we were jumping and yelling. We call the lake, "lake X" because we are the only people out there and the lake is in to middle of no where.
