The National Professional Fishing League reported on its website Monday that the field for the 2026 NPFL season is full at 130 anglers, but also announced there is room for additional competitors to be added.
“We’re still accepting talented anglers who are also outstanding human beings to join us for what promises to be the biggest and best season ever for the NPFL,” league president Brad Fuller is quoted as saying.
The 130-angler field will be the largest in the NPFL’s six-year history and Fuller said the league has always considered 130 to be the maximum field size. But he also left the door open for others to be added. In 2025, 118 anglers competed in at least one NPFL event.
“In 2026, we have the anglers, the schedule, the platforms, and the team to rival any organization in bass fishing,” Fuller said in the article. “For the fishing fans who enjoyed the great strides we made in 2025, it’s going to be even bigger and better next year.”
