The Logan Parks Fishing Foundation, founded by Bassmaster Elite Series rookie Logan Parks, recently hosted its inaugural High School/College Chaos Tournament presented by Abu Garcia on Lake Martin in Alabama. With 168 anglers (84 college and 84 high school), the Foundation paid out 150 percent of the entry fees, giving out over $175,000 in cash, scholarships and prizes to competing anglers.
The event took place Nov. 8-12 in Auburn, Ala., giving high school anglers the opportunity to showcase their talent and allowing a platform for college teams to scout the next generation of fishing stars. This tournament was run through the Fishing Chaos App and it allowed high school and college anglers a unique, competitive fishing experience on Lake Martin.
During the event, 1,618 fish were caught, photographed, submitted, and judged through the Fishing Chaos app. Brooks Anderson (Emmanuel College) and Rooksby Gordon (American Christian Academy) took top honors with 29.78 pounds, followed by Brody Robison (University of Montevallo) and Max Plemmons (Plainfiew High School) with 17.7 and Cason Maddux (Auburn University) and Brayden Tisdale (Opp High School) with 16.4.
“I couldn’t imagine any reason why a high school angler wouldn’t be all over an opportunity like this,” said Auburn University angler Jake Peck. “To be able to meet college anglers that are a few years ahead of you in the process and build connections with teams and coaches – it’s an incredible opportunity for any high school angler who wants to pursue bass fishing at the next level.”

The Logan Parks Fishing Foundation's mission is to empower the future of competitive anglers by nurturing the talents of high school and college anglers.
