Pickwick Lake and the Counce, Tenn., community will host the Bass Fishing League (BFL) Wild Card tournament, scheduled for Nov. 14-15, Major League Fishing announced recently.
In order to be eligible to fish the Wild Card tournament, anglers must have entered all five events within a Phoenix Bass Fishing League division during the 2025 season, fished at least two of them, and are not already advancing to the All-American via a previous qualification.
Anglers will take off from the Pickwick Landing State Park, located at 120 Playground Loop in Counce, at 7 a.m. CT each day of competition. Weigh-ins will be held at the State Park both days beginning at 3 p.m.
“Hosting the Major League Fishing BFL Wild Card out of Pickwick Landing State Park is a huge economic driver for our local economy,” said Beth Pippin, Tourism Executive Director for Explore Pickwick Lake/Hardin County Tourism. “We are honored to welcome the anglers and fishing fans from all over and encourage them to explore Pickwick and Tennessee.”

The full field will compete both days with winners determined by the heaviest two-day catch. The top three boaters and top three co-anglers will advance to the 2026 Bass Fishing League All-American, held on Lake Murray in Columbia, S.C., May 28-30, 2026.
There will be no off-limits period prior to the pre-tournament meeting for the Wild Card. No contestant may be on tournament waters for the purpose of locating bass or potential fishing waters after the start of the pre-tournament meeting except during tournament hours.
Entry for the Phoenix Bass Fishing League Wild Card is now open and runs through Thursday, Nov. 6, 2025, at 5 p.m. CT. For more information, click here .
