ICAST 2024: Quantum Introduces Saltwater Fishing Gear

Tackle brand Quantum is embarking on a new chapter with a focus on the saltwater market. The company, celebrating its 40th anniversary this year, has assembled a new team of experts and plans to launch new products designed specifically for saltwater anglers.

“We are committed to delivering the new standard of performance in saltwater tackle,” said Ken Eubanks, CEO of Rather Outdoors, Quantum’s parent company.

The new Quantum team boasts over 150 years of combined experience in the saltwater tackle industry.

“These guys aren't corporate desk jockeys; they fish and take it seriously,” says Mike Rice, Senior VP of Quantum.  “‘Tested Beyond Limits’ is more than just a tagline for the brand; it’s how the team operates.”

Quantum has also established a new headquarters in Stuart, Florida, to be closer to their target customer base and for easier access to testing grounds.

The company debuted these new products at ICAST 2024, including two spinning reels (Benchmark™ and Strive™) and one rod series (Myth™). Quantum says these initial offerings will focus on best-selling items and will be followed by further product development in the coming years.

The Benchmark™ reel is designed for both inshore and offshore fishing and features a “sturdy aluminum frame” and a “SEALOQ™ 6” sealing system for water resistance. The Strive™ reel is also made with an aluminum frame and is sealed to IPX6 standards. Both reels come in sizes ranging from 2500 to 8000 and will be available as combos.

Pricing for the new Quantum products will range from $99.99 to $189.99.
