The One That Didn't Get Away

The One That Didn't Get Away
Big Wiper

My dad and I had been nailing the Whities and Wipers for the last two weeks. We had some bigger fish that would hit and end up breaking our lines before we could get them to slow down, major dissapointment. The next week I went out fishing with my wife and son and had another big fish hit. She started to run and I decided to not put very much pressure on her since I only had 6lb test. I fought the fish for a good 10 minutes and finally was able to get her up to the surface. She was big!! "Get the net" I yelled to the wife. She lowered the net into the water, the fish turned, and she missed it! The second time the fish was not as lucky. As I pulled the fish out of the net I noticed the hook was hanging on the gigantic fish's lip by a thread. Turned out to be the biggest wiper I've ever caught.
