Veteran fishing journalist Ron Wong dies

Garry Mason, coach of the collegiate powerhouse Bethel University fishing team and founder of the Legends of the Outdoors Hall of Fame, announced on his Facebook page today that longtime fishing journalist Ron Wong has died. No other details were available.

Wong produced content for several publications over the past several decades, most recently as a primary contributor to Memphis, Tenn.-based Larry Rea Outdoors. An ubiquitous presence at major events with an outgoing personality, he made friendships across the industry.
