I caught this nice walleye measuring 31 inches and 10 lbs. 11 oz. rght before dark at Lake Author on 2/3/12. I was retrieving a chartreuse 4 inch twister tail slowly and thought at 1st that I had a snag as I was bumping the bottom. After a few tugs the snag started to move and I knew right away this was a nice fish. Boiling to the the surface 3 different times and making a final run out to open water right before I was able to land him (Fishing in chest waders) I was surprised how much of a fight there was because of the cold wate temperature. This is the 2nd walleye I have kept in 40 years of fishing, I will be having it mounted.
