Fishing with North Haven Lodge guide Jamie Canada and my 82 year old brother Leslie Dalton on Bear Lake in Manitoba, I caught a 43.5 inch norther pike on a Johnson silver minnow with a white grub trailer. The pike was quickly released unharmed after measurement and a quick photo (see attached photo of myself, Jamie Canada, and myself). The photo was taken by my brother and my brother witnessed the measurement by Jamie. The pike was caught at approximately 4pm on the afternoon of Friday, June 21, 2013. Bear Lake is a fly-out destination associated with North Haven, Lodge on Utik Lake (featured in In-Fisherman Magazine earlier this year).
