I was fishing for yellow bass on Clear Lake Friday night with Chad Herman and as the storms were rolling to the north of us (not that far away) I felt a yellow bite and then something dang hard hit. Turns out it was this 48" (we rough measured with a fishing pole, we know it wasn't smaller, but could have been 49" or 50", we reported it to DNR as 48") Musky. I had caught a yellow and within a split second the musky hit. Took 30-40 min to get him to shore (we were wading) so we could manhandle this thing. The best part, I was using a panfish rod (St. Croix) and 2 lb nanofil line with a 1/64th oz jig! He was hooked perfectly in the upper lip. When I finally got him close enough to see what I had on the other end, the yellow was still on my fishing line like we had used a stringer!
