Date: 9/12/201210lbs test line, Stradic reel, black/white Rapala. Water temp 63. Overcast and windy. Boundary waters----as soon as the bait hit the water just outside the weeds the big fella hammered it and away we go. Under the boats. Into the deep weeds and out again. Almost spooled me as we chased him. Finally we got a glimpse of the true size. The net was WAY too small. My father and I had to latch on to him and drag him over the side of the boat. Clean release. The state record is 49inches. (FYI teh date on the camera is incorrect).
