Fishing Gear: Strike King Tour Grade Braided Line

Strike King Tour Grade Braided Line

Description and Application: Made from the highest quality Japanese fiber, Strike King Tour Grade Line is optimized for maximum fishability, reliability and durability. It is not about just manageability, or ease of use, or toughness, it is about all of these things. For that reason, Strike King spent years working with some of the world’s best anglers to test and calibrate the line. It’s available in 8-, 10-, 15-, 20-, 30-, 50-, 65- and 80-pound break strengths and two colors: Green and yellow. Also available in 150-yard spools for $24.99 .

Staff Perspective:Braided line has so many applications, but a lot of that are based on preferences. In fact, one angler might choose one test over the next for a specific application while the next angler might do the opposite. And that’s ok, just depends on what works for you. As I’ve built my personal experience, I almost exclusively prefer 8- or 10-pound braid on spinning reels (tipped with a fluorocarbon leader), and braid for flipping jigs. Bottom line is, you’ve gotta believe in what you’re using, and the Tour Grade Braid is worth spooling up with.

Cost:$79.99 (600-yard spool)
