YakAttack BlackPak Fishing Crate 13x16
Description and Application: The completely redesigned BlackPak Pro is the result of intense collaboration and more than a year of R&D and design, the BlackPak Pro is fully riggable and boasts a hinged lid, 25% weight reduction. Enhancements include many things you might have expected, as well as some true-to-the-brand features that no one saw coming. The key to customizing and accessorizing the BlackPak Pro lies in the innovative GridLoc 2D mounting system, which offers a plethora of attachment points on the inside and outside of the panels. This gives the design team a platform to design a myriad of dividers, holders, and other attachments—development of these accessories is already underway. Rubber feet offer noise dampening and isolation, while Omni corner brackets enable multiple hold-down methods. They are designed as attachment points for YakAttack OmniHooks (four of which are included), generic hooks, carabiners, or simple bungee.
Staff Perspective: I’ve had a year to put this crate to work, and it’s 100% as advertised. Sturdy, quiet, easy to use and will store a number of 3700-size trays to keep you outfitted in a way that will put more fish in your rig. But on top of full functionality, these things look good while doing it. You can get them in black, desert tan and olive—a perfect complement to your kayak’s colors. They strap in easily and can be grabbed and stowed in your garage or tackle room when not in use—and they stand up to the abuse that hard core kayak anglers are known to dish out. This crate measures 13x16x13 inches and weighs 7.6 pounds.
Cost: $150.00
