A Great Day Fishing For Steelhead On The Dowagiac

On April 9th of this year, my friend Mark Gillen and myself fished for steelhead on the Dowagiac River in Southern Michigan with our guide, Dustan Harley. We had a terrific day in which we hooked about 20 steelhead and landed about a third of them. The fish in the photo measured 30.5 inches but was certainly not the largest fish we hooked that day! Our guide put us in position to test our nymphing skills with some really nice fish and we had an absolute blast. We look forward to our next adventure with Dustan.
