Arthur Huttemeyer Sr.

Budd Lake New Jersey

Species: Largemouth Bass

Date Caught: 09/02/2011

Kept / Released: Released

Region of Catch: Region 1

Length: 22 inches

Weight: 6 lbs.

Lure / Bait used: Bait | Live Herring

Myself and my friend Chris went fishing on our local Lake. We started out at 5:30 am to the bait shop on the Lake. We bought 2 dozen live herring and anchored up on some structure in 33 feet of water. After about 20 minutes Chris had a bite, he landed a 28 inch walleye. At first he thought it was a crappie because the fish did not fight that much. But as he started bringing her up off the bottom his rod bent over and I said it's a nice fish he still didn't ask for the net until he saw the walleye surface then he screamed with excitement and said "net" "net" big walleye. The fish weighed in at 7 lbs. 13 oz. We released her to spawn in the spring. Late we moved to another spot where I set up a slip bobber rig with a live herring, I casted out and started getting another rod ready to drop down deep. I looked up and said where is my bobber? The drag on my Pflueger reel started screaming out, I set the hook and reeled in this 22 inch largemouth bass.
