Aprils of the Past

Aprils of the Past

On April 1, 2015, we published our first "Aprils of the Past" column, and we hope to continue this routine for the months and years to come.

Since 2012, we have published 76,732 words that describe how, when, and where Midwest finesse anglers have caught largemouth bass, smallmouth bass, and spotted bass during the month of April at a variety of waterways across the United States.

Anglers can read all of those words in the six Midwest finesse columns below:

It is based on how and where we have caught largemouth bass and smallmouth bass since the turn of the millennium.

Steve Desch of Topeka, Kansas, with a pair of smallmouth bass that he and I caught at a community reservoir in northeastern Kansas on April 27, 2015.

One of the largemouth bass that Steve Reideler of Denton, Texas, and Norman Brown of Lewisville, caught at a water-supply reservoir in north-central Texas on April 10, 2015.

Brent Frazee of Parkville, Missouri, with one of the largemouth bass that he and David Gray of Lee's Summit, Missouri, caught at a northwest Missouri community reservoir on April 10, 2014.
