Early Spring Catfishing

Early Spring Catfishing
31" channel cat

Ed Dybalski

Reading PA

After a cool spring, we had 2 consecutive hot weather days. Water temps rose quickly. Fishing in a [highland Res.] shallow 4 - 5' northwest cove, with a light breeze blowing in, I knew cats would be on the feed. using shrimp under a float ,with a circle hook, I drifted baits with the wind. I had 21 cats from 15" to 29"[4 - 29"] and this 31" beauty. Caught the day before a new moon.
