Lew’s Laser Lite Spinning Combo
Description and Application: The lightweight skeletal graphite rotor design of the 4 bearing (3 ball bearings and a Zero Reverse one-way clutch bearing) Speed Spin reel cuts out weight in all the right places, without hampering its structural integrity. The reel’s frame is dependable graphite construction that looks great in its silver finish. The anodized aluminum spool with blue accents adds to the classy look. The Laser Lite combo rod comes in numerous ideal ultralight lengths. The super sensitive IM6 light action graphite blank brings castability and a fish-whipping performance to the outfit.
Staff Perspective: Whether you’re chasing crappies, yellow perch or hefty bluegills, a light rod is not only effective at adequately casting ultra-light jigs, but there’s a ton of fun to be had when a big bull ‘gill snaps. I like that there are six different models to accommodate fishing styles and scenarios. There’s a short model for compact casting situations and a 7-foot model for long casting or even long-line trolling. The longer rods are two-piece for convenient storage. These will be especially fun if a big bass eats your crappie cricket—hang on!
Cost: $49.99-$54.99
