Its large 0-degree line tie is ideal for tying with fluorocarbon and provides direct inline energy transfer for superb hook setting with less line stress. Staff Perspective:When it comes to jigs, Greg Hackney knows his stuff—he’s certainly one of the very best in the game. While it’s likely a fault of mine, I prefer to flip jigs on fluorocarbon. In Minnesota we deal with northern pike, which also calls for a braided option, but I love the rate of fall, the sensitivity level, you name it. It’s a great line option for jigs and I’m excited to put some of these to use—don’t go too light on the line. I’d suggest starting out with 20-pound fluoro and go up from there. You can bet these jigs will work if they pass the Hackney test.
