Staff Perspective: I use fluorocarbon for moving baits like crankbaits, spinnerbaits and vibrating jigs, and I sometimes like it for skipping and cast jigs into grass when in a clear-water situation. I like the shock absorption and near invisibility in the water—also note that fluoro sinks, so it’s not likely the best option for all topwater applications. But it’s forgiving and reliable, and that’s a big selling point for me.
