One beautiful spring afternoon I was out trout fishing on Snake Creek. I had caught some nice keeper trout for the grill. I had been fishing under a bridge and after the fourth red worn was stolen I had decided to change to a minnow. I casted under the bridge just passed where I had the previous bites. All of a sudden the big brownie slammed the minnow. I set the hook immediately and he took off down stream. I could tell it was a good fish and trying not to lose it I ran down stream to catch up with him and he finally gave in. I had an 18 inch trophy. I know they grow to be bigger than 18 inches but since it was only my second year of trout fishing it was the biggest trout I had ever caught. I released this big monster back into the stream to be caught by someone else.
