Another beautiful day on my 05 Tracker Panfish 16 with my brother-in-law Keith.First year fishing stripers on the tidal Delaware River. Breaking down spots old school...map study and hours on the water. We had some small striper action and channel cats in the mix earlier in the year and this trip started out the same...So we put our heads and decided to make something happen...roll the dice on a spot we talked about over the winter...We made the half hour run to this section of the river that looked good on the map and looked even better when we got there. Within in a half hour of being anchored up boom!!! This is no catty...The fight lasted 20 minutes and I came close to being spooled on the initial run. Bait caster set up with 20lb test 7 foot uglystik. We had fresh clam and bunker, bloodworm within casting distance...She took the smallest offering we had out there...incredible!!! Snapped quick photo/measure...Didnt take long to revive this girl...solid release...biggest fish ever caught on my boat...I love fishing!!!
