Doug Stange
In-Fisherman Editor In Chief Doug Stange has for more than 30 years lead the editorial team at In-Fisherman on a quest for unique multispecies freshwater fishing information, offered to readers in In-Fisherman magazine, In-Fisherman’s annual Guides to fishing, plus books and videos. He also hosts In-Fisherman TV , which offers a unique format that takes viewers to three different parts of North America to fish for three different fish species on each show.
Among his many industry awards are a “Conservation Achievement” citation from the American Fisheries Society, where he has been a member for more that 35 years. In 2008, he was inducted into the National Freshwater Fishing Hall of Fame as a “Legendary Communicator.”
Dr. Rob Neumann
Robert Neumann holds a B.S. in Fisheries and Wildlife Sciences (Virginia Polytechnic Institute); and M.S. in Fisheries and Wildlife Sciences (Texas A & M); and a Ph.D. in Biological Sciences and Fisheries Management (South Dakota State). He has authored or coauthored over 100 scientific publications, technical reports, and various other fishery-related papers and presentations; overseen 28 state and federal grant proposals, and also has been published in popular media outlets.
Joel Vandekrol
Joel VandeKrol is an Iowa native who grew up chasing walleyes on interior rivers like the Cedar and Shell Rock in a flat-bottom boat.
He still loves walleyes, but these days he prefers targeting smallmouth bass on the mighty Mississippi River. You'll find a jerkbait tied on one of his rods year-round. He rarely hits the water without his camera in hand and it’s not uncommon for him to set the rod down to capture the moment instead – something he's learned to accept and embrace, even if he doesn't always fully understand it.
With years of experience in the fishing industry as a freelance writer, photographer, and videographer, Joel is a former contributor to Target Walleye and Target Crappie.
He now serves as Senior Multimedia Editor at In-Fisherman, where he creates and shares original content across digital platforms, writes for the magazine, and co-hosts In-Fisherman TV.
