Supernatural Big Baits MattLock 12

Description and Application: Supernatural Big Baits are famous for their unique wandering action. They are effective whether casting or trolling, but they really shine with their trolling ability. Hand made from wood in the USA, Supernatural Big Baits have a custom designed metal lip with three different depth settings for increased durability and versatility. Even though the MattLock will run over 6 mph, slower speeds are where it has been the most effective. This makes it ideal for early and late season when the water temp is the coldest and muskies can be sluggish. It is also an exceptional night-fishing lure as slower speeds allow the fish more time to find the bait in the darkness. A favorite technique is to use planer boards and only put the baits 4 to 15 feet behind the boards. This will keep the baits very close to the surface. You can very effectively troll structure with this method, but these baits also work wonders over open water.

Staff Perspective:A huge profile for huge fish is often the ticket for the biggest fish of your life. I love how much personal attention is given to each bait, and each are time-tested on the water—they catch very big fish. And worth every penny. The MattLock measures 13 1/4 inches overall and weighs 9 1/2 ounces. Each bait comes with a lip pin and split ring, three Mustad 3551-7/0 treble hooks and No. 5 Wolverine Super Split Rings (not shown).
