High Noon Brown Trout

High Noon Brown Trout
Todd Wendorf with 34" Brown Trout

Todd Wendorf

McFarland Wisconsin

The morning started out decently with a few whitefish and smaller trout. After my buddy Andy Schutz lhad the hook pull out on a heavy fish we thought we had seen our last chance at a big brown for the day. Then, at precisely noon, I marked a big fish on my flasher and saw my float go down as this 34" brown ate my peach colored spawn sac. After a a short but intense battle the broad, seeforellen strain brown was pulled through the hole. A couple of pictures and a measurement later and it was released to fight again. Truly a remarkable fish caught at a time when you'd least expect it.
