45 inch Yukon Delta Pike

Fishing with Dr. Larry Dalton and guide Scott Rowekamp, I caught this 45 inch northern pike on Thursday, June 21, 2012 fishing out of the Midnight Sun Trophy Pike Fishing Adventures Boat on the Yukon Delta. The pike was hand landed (never in boat) and was quickly released after one quick pictrure. The lure was modified to a single, barbless hook. Care was taken not to over play the fish. I'm a steelhead/salmon guide on the Clearwater and adjacent rivers in Idaho so I appreciate the importance of maintaining a species.
