Headed out for a fall trolling trip. I thought we were crazy because a blizzard hit a couple days before going up and we were driving past 8" of snow and downed power lines. It was well worth it though, this monster took 3 passes over a rocky, wind blown point to coax into biting. We were trolling about 4 mph and had gone over the point once and my buddy and I just had a gut feeling that we needed to make another pass, so we swung back and hit it from the opposite direction, nothing. So we figured lets just follow our tracks but get a little closer. Sure enough, we got about 10 feet closer to the point and BAM! my rod bent in half and I thought I was snagged on a rock until she started headshaking. After about a 5-10 minute fight including multiple runs and alligator rolls by the boat, we got her netted, photo'd and released to fight another day. Fish of a lifetime!
